Panel Discussion: How Long Will the LNG Surplus Last?
Date & Time

Description
Current LNG capacity and projects under construction are projected to remain in surplus through the end of the decade, slowing the development of new frontier areas. Who are going to be the main LNG suppliers to the traditional and new Asian markets? How does US gas compete in global LNG markets with traditional supplies? And how will the large LNG exporting states Qatar and Australia fare? In Europe, Russian gas will remain the largest source of imports but LNG imports will play a growing role in the region’s gas mix. In a surplus market, terms are changing as are natural gas prices (and pricing). Which suppliers will be in the most competitive position to meet the new demands of the buyers? Will there be room in LNG markets for East African gas? How many new LNG projects are likely to come on stream in the United States? How competitive is the US LNG export model?
