Rachel Dry is the deputy politics editor for enterprise, overseeing feature stories about the 2020 campaign at The New York Times. Until June she was a deputy Op-Ed editor and editor of the Sunday Review section. She is the creator and host of Opinion Live, a monthly show featuring readings and performances from Opinion contributors. She joined The Times as a staff editor in Opinion in 2015. Before coming to New York, Dry spent nine years at The Washington Post, where she was the deputy editor of the Outlook commentary section and the features editor in Style. She has worked on the editorial staff of “All Things Considered” at NPR and was a Knight-Wallace journalism fellow at the University of Michigan. She also performs around New York as a stand-up comedian and her credits include shows at Caroline’s on Broadway, Union Hall and the Kennedy Center.
