John R. Auers is the executive vice president of Turner, Mason & Company, an international energy consulting firm based in Dallas, Texas.
Mr. Auers is the team leader of the company’s subscription products, including “The Crude and Refined Products Outlook,” a biennial report that forecasts supply, demand, and pricing for crude oils and petroleum products worldwide; and “The World Crude Oil Outlook” and “North American Crude and Condensate Outlook,” providing forecasts for crude oil supply and demand by region and by type. He also leads assignments in the areas of refining economics and planning, linear programming models, downstream asset valuation, crude oil valuation, capital investment and strategic planning.
Prior to joining Turner, Mason & Company in !987, Mr. Auers spent seven years at Exxon Corporation, where he served in various positions at its Baytown, Texas refinery.
Mr. Auers holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Nebraska and an M.B.A. from the University of Houston–Clear Lake. He also speaks at various national and international industry workshops and conferences on the latest developments in the petroleum sector.
Mr. Auers is a licensed professional engineer in Texas and Nebraska. He is a member of the Texas Society of Professional Engineers (TSPE) and the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE).
