Peter Hagen is the general manager, commercial for Chevron Australia, based in Perth, Western Australia. He is responsible for upstream commercial strategy formulation and implementation and commercial support, including L.N.G. and domestic gas lifting management.

Mr. Hagen has almost four decades of experience in the oil and gas industry, having worked for Chevron since 1979 in various commercial capacities in the United States, Australia, Papua New Guinea, West Africa and the United Kingdom.

Mr. Hagen was previously based in Perth from 2002 to 2008 as Chevron Australia’s strategic planning manager, followed by Greater Gorgon commercial manager, where his team put in place many of the Gorgon gas project’s foundation agreements.

From 2008 to 2014, he served as general manager, gas commercialization for the Europe, Eurasia and Middle East regions, based in London. In this role, he was responsible for midstream gas marketing, and transportation strategy design and implementation in support of Chevron’s regional activities.

Mr. Hagen graduated from the University of Michigan in 1979 with a bachelor’s degree in economics.
