Jan Stuart recently joined leading Wall Street research firm Cornerstone Macro as its Chief Energy Strategist.
Mr Stuart was the Global Energy Strategist for Credit Suisse’s North American equities research as well as its fixed income commodities business for the past six years. Jan built similar energy economics franchises at UBS and Macquarie from 2005-11. He started the Wall Street forecasting part of his energy career on ABN Amro’s then industry-leading commodities brokerage desk in New York in 2000.
For much of the 1990s, Jan worked at Energy Intelligence in both London and New York, lastly as the editor of the group’s flagship publication, Petroleum Intelligence Weekly. Jan started his professional career at the International Energy Agency in Paris back in 1987.
Mr Stuart earned a bachelor’s degree from the American University in Paris, a masters in international relations from Boston University and a masters in journalism from Columbia University in New York.
