Mark Catton is the Director of Glencore’s LNG department. He is responsible for the growth, development and performance of the global business both in assets and trading.

Previously, 2004-15 Mr Catton was the Managing Director of Glencore Singapore Pte Ltd, responsible for running Glencore Asia’s oil and gas division. He was the Chairman of the SGX-listed public company Chemoil Energy Limited, a global fuel bunkering company as well as Director of various Glencore companies, including S.T. Shipping and Transport Pte Ltd., an international tanker and dry bulk shipping company.

Employed by Glencore since 1990 and working in all commercial functions of the oil division, Mr Catton specialised in Naphtha, Gasoline and Condensates, he started in London and from 1997 moved to Singapore to trade the East of Suez markets.

Mr Catton holds an Electrical & Electronic Engineering, B Eng (Hons) from Nottingham University, UK.
