Vaseem Khan is McDermott’s Vice President of Engineering, a position he has held since August 2015.
In this role, Vaseem is responsible for all aspects of McDermott’s Engineering function worldwide, including eight engineering centers as well as McDermott’s Epsom-based Centre for Innovation and Research. Vaseem also works closely with the io Oil and Gas Consulting, a joint venture between McDermott and Baker Hughes, a GE company.
Vaseem has significant experience in engineering and project management in offshore and onshore projects, ranging from concept studies to large EPC projects. He joined McDermott from Technip, where he was the head of Technip’s Middle East business responsible for operations in Abu Dhabi, Doha, Kuwait and Al Khobar.
With more than 12 years in the Middle East, Vaseem held positions of increasing responsibility from Engineering Projects Manager to Chief Operating Officer and, finally, the head of Technip’s operations in the Persian Gulf. He previously worked with the British chemical conglomerate ICI plc (now part of Azko Nobel) in the Middle East, Europe, North America and South Asia.
A native of London, Vaseem has both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and post graduate education in international business management.
