Mark Gyetvay has worked in various capacities at a number of independent oil and gas companies in the United States, where he specialized in financial and economic analysis for both upstream and downstream segments of the petroleum industry. He also served as a former partner in the petroleum practice at accounting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers based in Moscow from 1995 to 2003.
From 2003 to 2014, Mr. Gyetvay was a member of Novatek’s board of directors and served as chairman on the Strategy and Investment Committee. He was appointed deputy chairman of Novatek’s management board in 2010.

Mr. Gyetvay is recognized as an expert in the oil and gas industry and is frequently invited to speak at international conferences and events. He is the recipient of numerous awards and accolades, and has been named one of the best chief financial officers in Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States by IR Magazine. He was also twice featured among the top five chief financial officers in the European oil and gas sector by Institutional Investor magazine.

Finance Monthly has honored Mr. Gyetvay for three consecutive years. He received the award for best chief financial officer for Russia in 2015 and 2016, and the game changer award for Russia in 2017.
