Jeremy Smith is currently vice president, finance for Anadarko Petroleum Corporation.
Previously, Mr. Smith has occupied a number of senior roles at Anadarko, serving as director of investor relations from 2013 to 2016, director of corporate development from 2010 to 2013, and as assistant treasurer of corporate finance from 2006 to 2010. In addition, he served as vice president and treasurer of Western Gas Holdings, the general partner of Western Gas Partners, from 2007 to 2010.
Prior to joining Anadarko, Mr. Smith served as assistant treasurer of the Plains Exploration and Production Company, also known as PXP, from 2003 until 2006, and as assistant treasurer of 3TEC Energy Corporation from May 2000 until it was acquired by PXP in June 2003.
Mr. Smith serves on Anadarko’s investment subcommittee, which provides fiduciary oversight of the assets in Anadarko’s retirement plans. He also sits on the board of MemberSource Credit Union, and is a member of Jones Partners, a professional networking group at Rice University’s Jones Graduate School of Business in Houston, Texas.
Mr. Smith holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and an M.B.A. from Rice University. He also received his master’s degree in accounting from Texas A&M University and is a CFA charterholder.
