Dr. Sadad Al Husseini is the founder and president of Husseini Energy Company, a highly specialized boutique oil and gas consultancy firm based in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia that caters to an executive clientele in international finance and in the oil and gas industry.

Dr. Al Husseini’s career started at Saudi Aramco. He became senior vice president for exploration and producing in 1986, and later executive vice president for upstream operations from 1996 until his retirement in 2004. He is credited with the modern redevelopment of many of Aramco’s vast oil fields, the discovery and development of its Paleozoic oil and gas fields, and establishing the company’s leading-edge Exploration and Petroleum Engineering Center (EXPEC) in Dhahran. He served on Aramco's board of directors from 1996 until 2004, as well as on the board of the Saudi Electricity Company from 1999 to 2003. He was also the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s special representative in its natural gas negotiations from 2000 to 2003.

Dr. Al Husseini obtained his bachelor’s degree in geology from the American University, and a master’s degree and Ph.D. in geological sciences from Brown University. He is an honorary member of the American Institute of Mining, Metallurgical and Petroleum Engineers. He was also named a distinguished graduate of Brown University.

He is a member of the Energy Intelligence advisory board, and senior energy advisor at the Riyadh-based international philanthropic organization, the King Faisal Foundation.

Dr. Al Husseini is a member of the first class of the King Abdulaziz Order of Merit, considered the highest civilian honor in the Kingdom.
